Barry Hope set up bh consulting in 1997 after working in local authority and national/international voluntary sector organisations.
Initially educated in the discipline of engineering, he developed a career in the social services, specialising in work with children and young people, mainly in the field of youth justice. His interests are in the application of systems thinking and personal construct methods in the development of research models.
bh consulting has developed a broad networkof associates, working in the fields of training and consultancy, governance issues, research, fund raising, web design and programming. Together we have worked in a wide range of organisations, in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
We bring a wealth of experience both as consultants and in managing roles in a variety of organisations and sectors.
We have an impressive body of expertise in the areas we work in, backed up by a commitment to continuing development.
Our values are closely aligned with those of the not for profit sector; we believe in a strong and sustainable public and voluntary sector working together to provide the best value for the public. At all times, we work in partnership to promote social change; promote cooperation and inclusion; value the worth of each individual and challenge discrimination in all its forms.
